Dave did a remarkable job composing on our feature, "Summer Eleven." His work totally enhanced the emotion of the scenes without being intrusive. He also had the ability to tweak the cues to my needs right before my eyes.

We weren't exactly sure what we wanted, yet we were pressed for time- two considerable challenges for any composer. But Dave came in with his exceptional talent, and after just a few passes, we had a beautiful score that went above and beyond our expectations. Dave is a fantastic composer and an absolute pleasure to work with. The subtlety of his score for my short, BLUE PLATE, really heightened the tension between all the characters without overtaking any of the scenes. Dave Christensen is without a doubt the finest keyboard player I have worked with in my 15+ years of professional recording. Whether it is work for one of my clients or my personal projects, Dave is always the first call for any and all styles of music. He is also a master songwriter, arranger, and lyricist. Unfortunately, he also plays the accordion.

As a performer on keyboards playing jazz, blues, and rock, Dave's talents are prodigious. He can adapt to the novice as well as match and best the top professionals in his realm. His skills in arranging, transcribing, and teaching breathe new life into standards and create life in original works making those he works with better.

I've had the opportunity and privilege of playing with Dave in both live and studio situations since 1995. This business has its ups and downs, relationships are tried, people disagree at times and artistic visions are challenged. Our friendship has survived all of these which speaks a great deal of Dave's character. Musically Dave has continued to be an inspiration and a breath of fresh air in a cut-throat industry; his piano and organ playing are second to none. He's lifted my own music and my spirit at times to another level and continues to be a musical oddity.

Dave is a sweet man. The organ parts he played on my record, "Monster Love", were simple, lyrical and hopeful, much like his personality.

I have both toured with and sessioned with Mr.Christensen on many occasions, and both on stage and in the studio, Dave never ceases to amaze. A soloist in the truest sense of the word, yet always locked into what his rhythm section comrades are up to....

Dave recorded with me on two albums – and I hope he records with me when I do the next one. He’s the ITY guy. SensitivITY, compatibilITY, adaptabilITY. He always captures the emotion of the song, and plays with nuanced touch and feel...

It's has been my pleasure and delight to record a four C. D. set with Dave Christensen... Four C. D.s in four weeks is a real challenge. To increase this challenge, the 42 songs covered a broad spectrum of genres and styles, from reggae, marches, waltzes and rock to blues and ragtime and country. It is a challenge not only to the musicianship of the members of the studio band to record forty-two songs they will never play again, but also to their motivation. Dave approached each new song, no matter how simple the arrangement, with full attention to detail and professional enthusiasm. Dave's contribution to the song, "Lollapalooza Zoo," helped us to be one of the winners in the John Lennon Song writing contest.

I have known Dave Christensen for about 8 years now and have worked with him on several different projects both live and in the studio. I am constantly and consistently impressed by him. whether it's on piano, hammond organ, or the accordian. If it's got keys the first name that comes to mind in the entire region is Dave Christensen. He is a consumate pro and always gives everything he's got. Live,  he's a madman with an extraordinary stage presence and in the studio he has humble restraint and a greater sense for what the song needs.....and he's one of the nicest guys i've ever met. Go figure?

Dave was a top notch session player on our first blues album with the great James Kinds. He slid the B3 into the mix with all the right soul. His ability to improvise and just jam with any genre of music is astounding.
